Implementation of MPLS requires series of development test and quality assurance to verify the correctness of their implementations. Also what is required is to ensure the interoperability and quality of the MPLS networks. Conformance testing helps accelerate product development and detect bugs early in the development cycle itself.
MPLS and Its Scalability
The scalability of MPLS network is the main concern for the vendors after standard conformance. The main metrics that determine scalability are:
- Router capacity
- LSP setup rate
- Signaling protocol stability
Together these determine the scalability of an MPLS network.
